Dunedin and Port Chalmers

Dunedin is the second-largest town on the south island, after Christchurch. It is Gaelic for Edinburgh but doesn't really compare with its Scottish cousin. I was excited to go there and was a little bit disappointed... Fussy person, probably. I mean, a round-the-world trip kinda raises your expectations...

Dunedin has many churches and art deco buildings.

"Don't mess with my church" says Robert Burns.

The only stone-vaulted nave in New Zealand is to be found in St Paul's cathedral, Dunedin. It's nice to finally see a proper church ha ha.

The impressive railway station. Doesn't fit in one picture...

We left Dunedin and drove through Port Chalmers before heading north towards Oamaru.
