We also went to a small house where a couple looks after baby kangaroos who lost their Mum, mainly due to collisions with cars. For a mere $5, we could hold the babies for 10 minutes. Basically, if you find a baby kangaroo and try to hold it, it will use its powerful legs to try and escape. However, if you put in a bag and then hold it tight, it will feel like it's in its mum's pouch again, will relax a bit, and probably fall asleep... My kangaroo, instead, decided to lick my hand for 10 minutes.
